Daily Itinerary Summary

 
Day 01: Entry Beijing 
Meeting on arrival and check in at the well selected hotel. The left hours of the day if any are on your side for free individual arrangements.

Day 02: Beijing 
Today's delightful highlights cover the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. You will be served Beijing Duck for dinner at a famous restaurant, followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing 
One of the most important activities for the entire Beijing Travel is the brief hiking at the Great Wall, Badaling section. Sichuan food is arranged for lunch at a nice restaurant after a short drive. Continue the visit to the Sacred Road and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area.

Day 04: Beijing Urumqi 
After the visit to the fabulous Summer Palace, leave for Urumqi by flight and transfer to the well selected hotel.

Day 05: Urumqi Turpan 
Drive to Turpan and transfer to the well selected hotel. Start the city tour with visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda.

Day 06: Turpan Dunhuang 
Turpan safari will be wrapped up after the visit to the Gaochang Ruins, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the Flaming Hill. Leave for Dunhuang by overnight soft sleeper train.

Day 07: Dunhuang 
Meeting upon arrival at the Liuyuan railway station and transfer to the well selected hotel in Dunhuang. You will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake. Then visit one of the greatest Buddhism grottoes - the Mogao Grottoes.  Breakfast is on your side.

Day 08: Dunhuang Xian
Leave for Xian by flight and transfer to the well selected hotel. Rich a la carte Sichuan Cuisine lunch is served at a famous Cantonese restaurant. The following visit goes to the Great Mosque and a local family. This evening we will offer you a buffet dinner at your hotel as the welcome dinner to this ancient capital.

Day 09: Xian 
The Terracotta Warriors and Horses unearthed near Xian is thought to be one of the great wonders of China and of the world. Drive through highway back to downtown to a decent restaurant to have well prepared food instead of the mass produced food around the site. Have a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall in the afternoon. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace in the evening.

Day 10: Xian Lhasa  
Have the last stop of Xian at the Provincial History Museum. Take a morning flight to Lhasa, the capital city of the mysterious Tibet with the altitude of 3,650 meters above the sea level. We leave the left hours of the day for you to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. The a la carte dinner is served at one of the best restaurant in Lhasa.

Day 11: Lhasa 

Your guide will take you for a whole day's city adventure, which covers the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park. A Western style lunch will be arranged for you. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 12: Lhasa 

Continue the city religion tours to the Jokhang Temple, thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street, Tibet Museum, the Carpet Factory and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. A Western style lunch will be arranged for you. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 13: Lhasa
Gyangtse 
Leave for Gyangtse by car. Stop off midway for glimpse of the Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. Then connect the adventure to the Palkhor Monastery and the Gyangtse Old Street. Check in and enjoy the dinner at your hotel.

Day 14: Gyangtse Shigatse  
Leave for Shigatse by car and check in at the well selected hotel. Highlights tour to the Tashilunpo Monastery and the New Palace of Panchen will broaden your vision. Enjoy the dinner at your hotel.

Day 15: Shigatse Lhasa
Return Lhasa and relax yourselves after checking in at the hotel. Enjoy the dinner at your hotel.

Day 16: Lhasa
Shanghai 
After visiting a Tibet family, leave for Shanghai by flight and transfer to the well selected hotel. The rest of the day is left free for individual arrangements.

Day 17: Shanghai  
Drive downtown to visit the Yuyuan Garden and the Shanghai Museum. Take a Huangpu River cruise after lunch. The Farewell Dinner is served at the Wang Bao He Restaurant which has a history of around 260 years of serving the best Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner is followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.

Day 18: Shanghai/ Exit
Be at leisure until the hotel-airport transfer is arranged for you according to your homebound flight schedule.
