Daily Itinerary Summary


Day 01: Entry Beijing
Upon arrival at the airport, our professional local guide will pick you up there. On the way to the hotel, a brief introduction of the capital city will be given. Check into your hotel and enjoy the free time on your own.

Day 02: Beijing
The first arrangement this morning is to meet the other members of the group that are from all around the world but share the same taste on travel. Then the pre-tour briefing which includes some dos and donts will be given in the hotel. To begin with your memorable travel, you will visit the world famous Tian'anmen Square - one of the grandest city squares in the world. The Imperial Palace - known as the Forbidden City is arranged next, where you can sense the vicissitude of once feudal spelled country. After a couple of hours in the Forbidden City, you will be taken to the Temple of Heaven, which was the royal temple for the royal members to pray and worship for harvests and blessings to their people. As one of the most important parts to shape the present day Beijing - Beijing Roast Duck is something you can not miss. We serve roast duck valued at CNY122.00 net per person at a famous restaurant, which is the original and has sold millions of ducks since it was established centuries ago. The evening delight is Peking Opera, known as the national opera at Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing
The Great Wall is the top highlight of Beijing and of China, if there is only one thing you could expect to see in China, that is definitely the Great Wall. The truly magnificent Great Wall will be presented to you this morning as you travel Badaling section. After the decent lunch at a famous Sichuan food restaurant (not lunch site tourist restaurant), you will continue your visit to the Sacred Road and the Ming Tomb - one of the Ming Dynasty royal graves.

Day 04: Beijing  Xian
After the visit to the royal garden - the Summer Palace and the lovely Pandas in Beijing Zoo, your Beijing Travel will end by taking an afternoon flight to the ancient city - Xian. Our professional guide will expect you at the exit terminal of the airport and transfer you to your hotel. On the way to the downtown, the guide will make a brief presentation of the history of the city. The welcome dinner will be served at your hotel valued at CNY168.00 per person, buffet style.

Day 05: Xian
A wonderful journey today eastwards will take you to a genuine Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum tour. Drive back by highway for a decent lunch valued at CNY80.00 net per person at a famous restaurant in the downtown area. Afternoon delight is the visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. In the evening enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace.

Day 06: Xian
This morning you will visit the Provincial History Museum, which is one of the top museums in China both by scale and by the quantity and quality of its collections. You will be offered a la carte lunch valued at CNY 80.00 net per person at a nice local restaurant. The afternoon is customized to visit a local family and the Great Mosque and walk around the Bazaar for leisure. The various sorts of souvenirs there may activize your interest.  A la carte dinner valued at CNY80.00 net per person is served at a welcome Sichuan cuisine restaurant.

Day 07: Xian  Chongqing
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Then take a flight to Chongqing and our guide will pick you up at the airport. Have a rich buffet dinner valued at CNY88.00 per person at 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze before checking in at the German-made cruise ship to stay overnight.

Day 08: Chongqing  Fengdu
The deluxe cruise ship sets sail at 08:00, the moment your memorable Yangtze River tour starts. The ship will stop over at Fengdu, known as the "Ghost City", which is famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the afterworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty. Delightful shore excursion to the "Ghost City" is arranged.

Day 09: Badong  Xiling Gorge  Sandouping
When the cruise ship passes Badong, you will have the chance to take a sampan for a close shot of the breath-taking natural sceneries along the Shennong Stream. Back to China Regal to continue your cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge and pass through the five-step ship lock.

Day 10: Sandouping
This morning you will take a shore excursion to see the freshly finished Three Gorges Dam. The record making project will surely impress you a lot. Afterwards continue your cruise to pass the eastern section of Xiling Gorge. The river guide will be available to provide a narration. Go out the gorges at Yichang city, where you pass the ship lock of Gezhouba Dam. At 20:00, you will be entertained by the dancing and music performance in the evening party.

Day 11: Wuhan  Shanghai
The cruise journey will have to come to an end when arriving in Wuhan at around mid-day. After lunch, you will continue your visit to the Hubei Provincial Museum. Afterwards, the guide will see you off for the flight to Shanghai. Our guide in Shanghai will pick you up at the airport and help you checking in at your hotel. You will be free to enjoy your evening and sample your first meal in Shanghai.

Day 12: Shanghai
Your Shanghai city tour package will start by the visit to the Shanghai Museum, which is the top museum in China. Following the visit is the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River to view the modern Shanghai. Dinner valued at CNY105.00 net per person will be served at a fancy restaurant named Wang Bao He, which is the best place to sample Shanghai cuisine. The evening delight is the Portman Acrobatic Show held at the Shanghai Center Theatre. Our guide will say bon voyage to you after seeing you into the hotel lobby.

Day 13: Shanghai  Guilin
You have a free morning before boarding the flight heading for Guilin, local guide will suggest you make the most of your time. Lunch is arranged in Shanghai. Professional local guide will expect you at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Evening delight is to enjoy the Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner is served.

Day 14: Guilin  Yangshuo  Guilin
Travel to Yangshuo by cruising along the magnificent Li River which itself is the highlight of today. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a brief country-road tour by bicycle will then be arranged. A local family will be somewhere along the road expecting your visit. For those who are less skillful of running a bicycle, you can take our electric car instead. Back to Guilin by car and check in at the Sheraton Hotel. (Tip: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, Beijing Travel suggest you have enough breakfast at the hotel this morning.)

Day 15: Guilin  Hong Kong
See you off for the flight to Hong Kong after the visits to the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Hill and the Seven Star Park. After arrival, please transfer to check in at our booked hotel on your own.

Day 16: Hong Kong
The day is free on your own. We arrange the hotel with breakfast for you. You are suggested to take a half-day Hong Kong Iskland tour, starting with a peak tram ride to the mid-level of Central District, then on to the Victoria Peak. Then visit the Repulse Bay, Aberdeen and the Stanley Market.

Day 17: Hong Kong/ Exit
No scheduled activities are arranged after breakfast, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight by yourselves. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we are glad to make an extension tour for your China adventure!

It is approx 25 miles (40 km) from the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong to Hong Kong International Airport.

Best way to Airports:
Beijing Travel suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your hotel (InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong) to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The Travel to Hong Kong Airport will take about 40 minutes at HKD300.00 (USD39.00).
